with all the promos and the hype job from gbp, 1.2 ppv is a bit low. I guess floyd is not as a big draw as he think he is.

1.2 mill to me equates to floyd not being that much more of a draw than I thought 50-50 or 55-45 for floyd I think are fair. Its funny I heard some people saying this shows how big marquez was in the ppv sails but I would say that it shows that he has less. Also the two non-americans selling the same argument is ****** to me. Any fight that with a latin fighter brings in the latin community is going to have an extra upside but it REALLY DOESN'T MATTER ANYWAY all these buts and extra explanations and excuses for #'s are just BS. Just look at the #'s when you have 4+ fights to work with as a sample than whoever has the higher #'s is the bigger draw and deserves the bigger split. If some of you guys argument is being an American makes floyd bring in more ppv's than he deserves the bigger share. Even though I feel this is not true. When I look at the trends it seems that what brings in the #'s are how known the fighter is, how well the fight is promoted, and how meaningful the fight is.
I think none but not sure.
It's a great sucess
Over 500k non US citizens is tough. How amny of those?
I'm not sure but no more than 20 I'd sayComment

anyway, 1.2 is VERY low based on how they were hyping and how much promotional push they put on.... thats just the truth. certainly not the record-breaking number schaeffer was hyping for.... they had a SOLID promotional period, they addressed every possible avenue for promo... it is what it is.Comment

i don't think so.....i think Cotto is a far greater drawcard than Shane.......but hopefully that takes care of the money split......Comment

Now if the testing wasn't there from the jump I could see what your saying. Floyd didn't wait for manny to accept everything else and then spring up with the testing it was in the original contract. They both asked for extra stuff I don't believe that you would feel differently if the foot was on the other foot given your previous posts.Comment

I think now it's only fair that Pac asks for 55/45 or 60/40. If 2 non-Americans can sell more PPVs than 2 Americans, it says a lot. It says that the styles and the candidates are not marketable. People wanna see Pacman because it he puts on a show, and wins. All Mayweather does it try not to get hit, and win on points, which is something a lot of people are very tired of.Comment

Thats awesome... my point is that the numbers are all that matter. The guy who brings in the more money is the bigger draw and should get the most money so the comments on saying manny's #'s are more impressive because he's not an american even though they are lower #'s is irrelevant in that regard.Comment

Stop trying to sway things to your own biased outlook.
1.2mil is a good number but in no way is Mayweather the cash cow of boxing like he proclaims himself to be, get over it.
A 50-50 split is fair, Mayweather can't ask for more than that, if he does then we know who's ducking who.Comment
