Ross Greenburg, the head of HBO sports, is a moron

Why the fuck would he even entertain the thought of replacing Lennox Lewis with Roach.

In what mind capacity would that seem like a good idea?

Not saying that Lewis was good because he wasn't. But, Roach? WTF?

I swear this man is horrible for boxing on HBO. He is a great producer, when it comes for legendary nights, real sports, hard knocks, 24/7. He is the man for the job. He does great work with that.

But, when it comes to boxing straight up boxing. Get somebody else to replace him. He don't know what he is doing. He overpays for fights, which ruins the boxing budget, his dumbass gives blind dates to promoters, he plays favorites with promoters and managers, he tries to be a promoters, he monopolizing boxing, sometimes HBO does not get the best fights cuz of him. He is slowly killing boxing on HBO. HBO cut 15 million dollars from their boxing budget from last year.

Bring back Dibella or some boxing guy. To take care of the boxing related issues. Showtime does not even have the budget of HBO yet they put more entertaining and compelling fights than HBO does.

The only candidates should be Roy Jones, Ray Leonard, Bernard Hopkins, Kevin Kelly, and at least Sean O'Grady. He was better than Lennox Lewis and Foreman.

He just not a boxing guy. He is a great producer though, I will give him that. But, when it comes to boxing he is out of his element.

Hopkins, Tarver, Jones, Foreman all were better choices.

I have no idea why Roach even wants this job I can barely understand him when he speaks.

True story. That alone should've disqualified him.
                  Everything else makes sense though:

Good boxing experience (fighter and trainer), a limitless
ability to spew bull****, and a lot of animosity TOWARDS
him from fans and fighters alike. He's a colorful guy.

Sadly, Parkinsonism has him slurring his words (even worse
than Charles Barkley does) and that's just no good for TV
                  commentating.

I don't want any former boxers tbh. Go out and get a professional commentator. HBO is a first class network and should stay away from 2nd rate or no rate commentators. I appreciate the insight boxers give but come on you were born to fight, not call fights.
