I'm hoping Cintron doesn't act like a ***** tonight and brings it. We all know the dude has devastating power. I just hope brings a good fight to Paul. I know he can hurt Paul but will he be willing to throw those kinds of punches against a work horse like Paul?
I think he's going to come to fight. thing is you can't control your opponent and what he throws at you so there is no way to be 100% sure if he'll win but based on fighter tendencies and what 1 is good at and the other one isn't you have to give Kermit some respect, he has the ability in him to beat Williams but the question is will he put it into effect? I think he can, I think Paul's pistol punches will only destroy Cintron if Cintron just stands there and balls up in a shell but if he does what I think he should and that's come in with that hard 1, 2 then weave and leave he can win, if he decides to **** out then he's mice meat but if he uses his tools he should win this fight..

I been respecting Williams since before he had a name on here, long before the Mitchell fight which is when a lot of people 1st found out about him, I been doing the same with Kermit so I'm not just talking out of my ass I know who these guys are in the ring, I think it's Kermit's fight to lose because he has the more skills, he got a Draw against Sergio while the Middleweight Champion at the time took a bad and bloody loss, that should tell you something. as for his crying? well he is an emotional guy, it may not visually look nice to us "macho men" but Kermit put in his work and all crying aside he should at least be respected.

Kermit is no slouch believe me when I tell you, Paul wastes a lot of punches which creates a lot of windows for Kermit to clock his block off, his offense IS his defense even now so if you can neutralize his offense with a hard 1, 2 and then get out the way you can best him over 12.
Martinez didn't earn Williams respect, Quintana didn't either. No one has. After you earn someone's respect, it makes them more tentative come in and to throw than usual.

I've never seen him tentative to pressure and let his hands go even when he's getting countered consistently (Martinez and Quintana) and hurt or stunned (first 3 rounds against Martinez). He wouldn't have thrown 900+ punches against Martinez if he did respect him. I tack the 700+ punches against Quintana to weight draining because he looked slow and lacked any pep in his step.

I can't see Cintron being able to keep up whatever gameplan his team has drawn up when Paul is putting major pressure on him and just making him constantly defend himself or try and counter. When he sees Williams hasn't and won't slow down, the fight is over. Good thing we won't have to wait much to see who's right.

I don't really fault him for crying. When you work so hard for something and you still get KTFO, it's got to be devastating. Just the way he gave up in the Margarito rematch and was crying to the ref in the Martinez fight.

You're right though, Cintron absolutely has the skills and power to beat Williams but I'm not sure if his confidence will be there. I'm not a big fan of either guy so I'm neutral on this. I just hope Cintron brings it because Paul always brings it and it should be a great fight as long as Cintron is ready to go to war.

they did earn his respect it's just that his offense IS his defense, all he really knows how to do is release a lot of punches, he throws more than Pacquiao you feel me and when a fighter throws that much he doesn't defend a fraction as much as if he threw fewer punches. Boxing is about balance and since the very beginning when I 1st saw Paul Williams fight I always knew he would get out pointed by someone who knew how to maintain him (Quintana). true he KO'ed Quintana in the rematch but he didn't do anything technically different he just fought a less prepared Quintana who couldn't repeat his success.

Paul has a championship level chin, I mean it man he can take a great shot so I don't expect him to be KO/TKO but he needs to learn core defense, he can land as many punches as he always lands throwing half the amount of punches overall if he could just pace himself better and actually learn how to set up shots, he doesn't strategically break down his opponent he does it in a mauling kind of way but not everyone is just going to stand in front of you when you maul them.

I like to treat all fighters equally, a lot of people have Kermit defeated before he even fights and that's just crazy, he trains too he fights too. I'm picking Kermit and all but I know who the favorite and who is most likely to win is it's just Boxing is about skills, Kermit has more skills if you ask me and I will always favor the man with the most skills even though I know it doesn't always happen this way ex. Good post, see my thing with Cintron is whether you think he lost to Martinez or not he only has 2 official losses against the same person, aside from a draw with Martinez he beat everyone else and it ain't like he got less than 20 fights we talking about a former world champion who has all the experience necessary to bring a fight to Paul. even if Paul CRUSHES him in the 1st round we know from previous fights that in nature of their styles Kermit is more of a strategist. 1 thing we can be sure of is, like you said, it will be a war IF Cintron brings the fight
