Can Mosley beat Berto and get another belt at ww?

I was thinking that this fight can still happen & would still be significant considering Mosley still has his belt. I know people have been claiming Mosley's too old, but IMHO he just lost to one of the best fighters and there's nothing wrong with that, so my question is simple, can he do it?

Mosley should just retire. Berto should fight Clottey imo.

Depends!, if his loss to Mayweather was partly because at his age his performance level will go up and down then he could concievable do what Hopkins did after the Calzaghe fight and pull out another good performance, particularly as he would be fighting a lesser fighter( Berto), albeit closer to his physical prime than Mayweather was.

I think Mosley could still do something against the right type of opponent but not against a guy with speed, which is Berto, sure Berto looked poor against Quintana but Quintana did beat Paul Williams when all said and done, even though he avenged that loss, so i can understand him looking poor against a cagey lefty like him.

Yes, but what good is it for a Hall of Famer to know he's the 2nd best?

I'm not sure there are too many HOFers that would keep on fighting in the same division and just accept that they're 2nd best.

Yes. Mosley would probably KO Berto. But I'd like to see him take on a lesser opponent to get back on his feet and prove that he's still got it.

I'm just not taking too much away from Mosley until i see him against another opponent, Mosley' still a top ww even with the loss to PBF, and i think he's good enough for Berto to be his next step. Considering he's still the champ & Berto was a bit sloppy against Quintana that i think Mosley would take it if they were to fight
