DLH Will NOT fight in 2005

    Check this report out!

    http://www.maxboxing.com/Avila/Avila061805.asp

Looks like DLH will be taking all of 2005 off. I think his career as a top prizefighter might just be done. He is one of my all time favs, but maybe he can give back a lot more to boxing with his promotional company. Cong**** to him for knocking up his hot ass Puerto Rican wife!

I hope he doesn't come back and give us a Tito like distracted and unmotivated effort. If this is it, then godspeed to him.

De la hoya is finished, aside from that he is walking around at 180 easily if not more.

I tend to agree with you. He doesn't have that much fight mileage, like say a Chavez, at the same age. Chavez was going downhill already, conversley DLH's body and genetics are starting to get to him and he is in the begining of his descent.

Oscar is too busy with his promotional activities for his company. I doubt whethet he will come back ever, cause what has he got to prove in the near future in the boxing ring?

I dont think Oscar should come back he has had one of the best careers and has reached his peak and anything else will be downhill. I hope Oscar is smart and doesnt come back and I hope he keeps pushes his comeback away and forgets about it. The good thing with Oscar is his company is successful and I dont see it failing because if it failed I would imagine Oscar would get back into the ring.

We have seen the best for him and I wish him luck in the future, I just dont want to see him in the ring anymore.

I guess Floyd Mayweather Sr. better start looking for another big name fighter to bring to his gym, because De La Hoya doesn't want to do the dirty work of this sport anymore.

Yeah, he has so many other things to do besides boxing these days, but I think eventually a really big money fight is going to come along and he just won't be able to resist it.

No fight is big out there for Oscar, sure there is the Trinidad fight but that is the only one and that wont be happening. Anything else is ok.

He is finished, I agree he doesn't need boxing anymore. He doesn't the hunger but why should he?
