well im no advocate by any stretch of the alphabet orgs BUT i will say that the WBC/WBO/WBA/IBF all have 8oz for welter and lower as standard issue unless other contractual arrangements are made or requested and agreed to. Also, Nevada had 10oz as a requirement for fighters 135lbs and under but have since allowed the gloves upto 147lbs.
