Does Mayweather get credit for coming back after 2 years off and beating JMM and Mosley in back to back fights?

I say rematch Margarito or fight Clottey. 2 very winnable fights IMO and depending on how good he wins, if he stills looks impressive then fight Berto but if he still looks like he lost a step, then I say call it a day and leave on a win!

At the end of the day though, if he loses I don't think anything will take away from that amazing performance by Floyd just because Mosley was so dominant against Margarito. It will just show further that he's done IMO.

FLOYD GETS PROPS REGARDLESS AS SHANE ASKED FOR THAT ASS WHOOPEN, HE WAS ON ESPN SAYING MAYWEATHER WAS SCARED OF HIM ETC. HE INTERRUPTED MAYWEATHERS interview after MARQUEZ, he asked for that beat down last saturday.

I think he still has the tools to beat just about anyone at 147. I'd really like to see him fight Berto like he was supposed to(but not if he's gonna be gone for over a year.) Another guy I think would be a good match-up against Mosley would be Angulo if Mosley goes up to 154.

so i guess everybody just wants to ignore the fact that shane was 38 going on 39 on fight night & have not fought for 1 year & 5 months & it showed in the fight when he was gassed by the 4th round?

You guys act as if shane continuing to fight & beat elite fighters is a sure thing. at least be honest with yourselves & leave some wiggle room.

What do you think is more likely to happen?

Shane staying elite & beating elite fighters?

Or shane continuing his downward spiral or retiring?

Which one is the more likely outcome?

smh at some of you acting like floyd is bernard hopkins in his prime who causes fighters physically debilitating fights. When did floyd become the body snatcher?

what if margarito, old age, the long layoff, and the lack of PEDS did that? or does mosley usually gas after 2 rounds spinmaster?

So you're asking us a hypothetical question in hopes to getting some positive feedback? In terms of what's the most possible outcome who knows?

You're talking like Shane's been on a downward spiral prior to his fight with Floyd. People were raving about his victory against Margarito and were calling him Floyd's "biggest threat" before the fight happened. Now that he gets dominated, he's on a downward spiral? Really?? For real??

Since we're asking hypothetical questions here let me ask one myself.

If Shane comes back and beats a top 5-10 WW what are you going to tell yourself then? Say he defeats Berto, Cotto or even Angulo @ 154..What will you say then?

we knew the point of this thread was to discredit floyd..whats your issue???

so manny gets no credit for hatton, oscar or morales by your logic..cause non of them did jack **** after fighting manny

Well in my post, I don't think I was being unreasonable or too out there. He WOULD most likely beat Margarito & Clottey because he is a just a flat out bad style match up for Margarito, and Clottey is too defensive and Mosley would probably just beat him by out working him. Clottey isn't anything special so I don't think i was too out there with this.

But like I said, you don't wanna count him out. Like Teddy Atlas said let him give it the old college try to see where he's at. Like I said, let him fight Clottey or Margarito, and if he wins impressively, he can keep going, but if he wins barely like I expect, I think he should retire on a win. So I do think the end is near, but the better real difficult question is when.

wtf you talkin about what ifs larry? pac's win vs oscar is being ****ted on by *****s already even though pac was a huge underdog going in. cotto aint retired & is fighting for a 154 lb title.

                cant you be honest?

If shane was 30 years old & floyd dominates him, i wouldnt be asking this question.

Shane is 39 & gassed after almost ktfo the alleged greatest defensive fighter of our time. Its a very reasonable question.

sure why not? those are not pac's best wins yet some think this is floyd's best win. a 39year old fighter 1 year & 5 months off who almost KHTFO.
