i am shocked and at the same time i'm very excited for this event and why ? becuase i was born in lindsay claifornia even though i grew up in porterville california and i that was a suprise that fernando vargas the former aztec warrior is bringing his promotional fights to my birthplace and believe me that mcdermott place is pretty big its right down the street from a swap meet that is held out doors on every friday evening so its gonna be packed that night especially since el feroz is gonna be there and this si gonna put tulare county on the boxing map..maybe not on the mainstream but it will attract enough local attention to sell enough tickets to do well

fernando is doing the right thing staying in the sport without getting his head beat any more. He's too far gone to get back into fighting shape, but boxing is probably all he knows where he can make a good living. It's a tough business and he'll need a lot of luck. I hope he does OK.
