BoxingScene.com was told that Edgar Sosa has received medical clearance and plans to return to the ring on June 5 in Mexico. Last November in Chiapas, Sosa was stopped in the second round by Rodel Mayol. A clash of heads in the second round cracked Sosa's cheekbone. Sosa required surgery and several months of rehabilitation. He wants three fights in 2010 with the final one being against the winner of Pongsaklek Wonjongkam's planned defense of the WBC flyweight title against Daisuke Naito.
