    If the Floyd fight falls through, he fights Margarito.

    Not that, that's what any of us want, but that's what happens.

      Why would Roach put him in with Margarito?

      He might as well let Pac fight Malignaggi.

        PW hasnt cleaned out anything either..

        promotion friend promotion...

        cotto and margo have a huge fan base, once the word spreads, i have no doubt those can do around 1m buy.

        What would be interesting is the may vs mosley numbers, that fight has had the biggest promotion in history and if it only does 1.2/3m then what chance at floyd doing any better with anyone else?

        pac done about the same

        both guys can make 20m in fights due to their name but the boxing society will not accept those two not fighting....people power will win

          Agree here. The Margarito fight is easy to make.

          Pac's still the RING champ at 140 and I know Roach said he won't fight there but he can still make the weight.

            That's exactly what Arums plans are... he's talked about it on numersous occassions.

            Pac has made comments that he would fight Margarito.

              I'd rather see Bradley try and clean out 140 (but Tim was going to move up anyways to fight Abregu)

                  One word.

                  Williams!

                  Pac may well lose but the sheer challenge of it would skyrocket Manny's respect back up to pre-Floyd negotiations levels.

                  Win or lose, you'd watch that damn fight. Damn, if Pac faced Martinez or Williams it would actually make me a proper Pac fan. I'd be rooting like hell for him. He'd get battered but could you imagine if he could find some way to win.

                    But look at it this way;

                    Margo has cheated before, if he fights Margo and thrashes him. Then everyone's going to be like ' Oh, Marg is **** without his special handwraps '. Pac destroyed Cotto in their fight. No reason for a second, the fight wasn't close at all.

                    Where as for Floyd;

                    Martinez is basically the man at 154 (debatable) and 160. If Floyd beats him at his best weight, 154 then it boosts his resume a lot. Floyd doesn't fight for legacy, but Floyd vs Martinez who comes off a close loss to Williams and a big win over Pavlik is a big selling point.

                    PWill has wins over Martinez and Margarito. His only loss comes to Quintana who he decimated in the rematch.

                    Remember how Valuev was built up to be some giant? Well PWill can easily be built up to resemble someone like Hearns with his physical qualities.

Who currently is nothing more than a prospect. Berto has a good stoppage win over Quintana, but he's still too inexperienced for Pac.

                      Pac could drop to 140 and fight Bradley. But Bradley's got Alexander to deal with. Although I do remember Bradley saying he'd be willing to fight Pac, is there any real money in it?

                      The way I see it. The fights with De La Hoya, Cotto and Clottey were all in anticipation of fighting Floyd. Floyd is the one to beat.

                      Floyd is cool, calm and collective though because Floyd is clever.

                      He knows that Pac has no more real options left. Where as Floyd could easily go off and fight Martinez or PWill at 154. A weight which Pac is too small for.

                      Floyd doesn't need Pac, Pac needs Floyd.

                      I'm not a fan of either, but I hope Pac vs Floyd happens. It's a fight that needs to happen. But unless Pac bends to the rules Floyd has imposed, then there is no rush for Floyd to fight against Manny.

                      well, floyd could fight martinez, pwill, etc... but he'd have to pay 20k-40k for the OST everytime. maybe that's nothing to floyd, but it adds up. I wonder if floyd is willing to do that for every fight considering that the only reason he brought up OST was to build up confidence for himself and give him a psychological crutch for the pac fight.

                      I think we might see floyd retire AGAIN!
