Why doesnt Floyd Mayweather go to the Body?

Why doesnt Floyd go to the body almost at all? In the Mosley fight Mayweather landed 191 punches to the head but only 17 to the body.

so why does he go pretty much only to the head?

But the answer is, if you're having great success landing to the head, there isn't any need to go to the body.

He threw some very good body shots, although he threw mainly head shots. I think alot of that has to do with the opponent. He did very good work downstairs against Judah. He actually touched Shane pretty good, check out the gif in my sig.

he rarely throws hard power shots to the body but he does throw a lot of jabs to the midsection. does it in almost everyfight

Well, that is his favorite body shot. But again, if you are have success with head shots, why stop? I think that is the easiest way to answer the question.

Mosley landed way more body shots then FLoyd and a few were very hard also, but to only land 17 body shots with most being Jabsto 191 head punches is a big disparity

also reaching downstairs if your not close in can create openings for the opponent

mayweather throws limited punches which in turn limit the amount you can counter with thats why he wins rounds decisively throwing 30 punches a round
