Evolution states that species change over time via mutation and selection. Since DNA can be modified only before birth, a mutation must have taken place at conception or within an egg such that an animal similar to a chicken, but not a chicken, laid the first chicken egg.[8][9] In this light, both the egg and the chicken evolved simultaneously from birds that were not chickens and did not lay chicken eggs but gradually became more and more like chickens over time.
However, a mutation in one individual is not normally considered a new species. A speciation event involves the separation of one population from its parent population, so that interbreeding ceases; this is the process whereby domesticated animals are genetically separated from their wild forebears. The whole separated group can then be recognized as a new species.
The modern chicken was believed to have descended from another closely related species of birds, the red junglefowl, but recently discovered genetic evidence suggests that the modern domestic chicken is a hybrid descendant of both the red junglefowl and the grey junglefowl.[10] Assuming the evidence bears out, a hybrid is a compelling scenario that the chicken egg, based on the second definition, came before the chicken.

Neither the chicken,or the egg came first. It was the rooster that came first.
But before that ,the dinosaur laid the egg.

          ooohhhhhhh!!

                      This is a difficult question.

The egg came first, into Pacquiao's breakfast. Helping him climb numerous weight divisions to fight the prize rooster. As a result, it will be the world's biggest ****-fight.

Some Scholars maintain that the egg came first, due to the appearance of Mayweather's shaven head.

Regardless of this, both fighters have been seen doing a chicken-dance or two during their careers. Arguably Pacquiao's were at the hands of lesser opposition.

I could also see it from the perspective of the chicken coming first. There has to be something tangible in order to create the golden egg that would be this fight:

The chicken (fights if you will) of Pacquiao has been the talk of the town, exciting people from all around the world. The Mayweather chicken is said to be boring but beautiful in some aspects. Regardless of this, nobody has touched the Mayweather chicken. For she is unbemished. This excites the Pacquiao chicken, who is buying dinner for the Mayweather chicken, listening to what she has to say and trying to seduce her. Despite allegations of cheating, coupled with Chicken Sr's doubt about him. Either way, the hope is she gets drunk and just does it. Then they don't have to speak again afterwards. Would just be better for all of us. The result would be an egg, that neither of them would probably just never see and pay egg support for.

Therefore, i voted egg. Having explained why i feel Chicken is a better choice. Thanks for giving me something to tear me away from revising for my 3 hour International Economics exam tomorrow.
