earth to sergio, come in sergio.

It may not be about the belts to you, but the only reason Floyd would want to fight you is that green belt around your waist!!!

I like Martinez, but he makes it sound like he's giving Mayweather the opportunity, No...

You should be thankful Mayweather even considered him.

Martinez - Gayweather saw how you dropped Williams down beatifully with one shot - a legit MW - WTF makes you think he's gonna want to risk his fake record against a legit boxer-puncher like you???? Forget it!! He doesn't have the balls to fight a legit light weight like Pacman much less someone like you.

            um..............

this is what he meant by saying he would come down to 154 for a great fight obviously 160 is where the belt is and wont be on the line.

that is exactly what sergio was talking about, it wont be a fight for belts but a great fight....

Seeing Floyd at Super Featherweight, I never would have imagined him fighting as high as Junior Middleweight. At 160 he'll basically just be fighting one weight class above the highest weight class he's fought in. Plus Mayweather would come in very very light anyways. For his 154 fight with DLH he weighed in at 151 and then 154 on fight night if i'm not mistaken.

You have to remember, Floyd didn't call out Sergio... he was asked what he thought about it and he said "It's possible." What did you expect him to say, "Aww, hell no" ??? Common, I think it's the farthest thing from his mind. In fact, he said after the fight that he might take a year to a year and a half OFF (my guess is it depends on negotiations with Pac), and if he does he would probably want to take a tune up fight after the layoff.

Pavlik won't be able to change anything in a Martinez rematch. By style, Sergio has his number. If he fights Floyd, I'd call it a pretty even fight. Floyd can edge him in speed though. I wouldn't mind seeing this one.

It would be a tough fight for Floyd but remember, Martinez is not really a natural Middleweight anyway. It's not like he'll go up that much after the weigh-in like a normal Middleweight, he'll maybe come in on fight night at 164-165. Mayweather would probably come in on fight night at 160-62 with no problem. I'm mean, he's probably coming in now at around 156 on fight night. I don't think the weight difference poses too much of a threat for Floyd.
