Before the Cotto vs. Mosley fight Max Kellerman said...

That Shane Mosley has never had his will broken. I have to admit Cotto couldn't do it by force but Floyd did it with his intelligence. People may argue that Shane still tried to go for the knockout but you could see that he got too tense and couldn't get his shots. I truly believe Mayweather didn't get to Mosley's head before the fight but during the fight he did get into Mosley's head and convinced Mosley he wasn't good enough to defeat him. Full credit to Mayweather because before this fight I thought Mosley maybe could pull it off but Floyd Mayweather Jr. proved his superiority and sent a message to everyone of how good he is and that maybe we haven't seen his best yet.

good break down..i think cotto-mosley was cottos career defining fight and he fought a younger shane..now the shane that floyd fought was "percieve" to be more dangerous cause of the margo fight imo..and i truly think floyds talk along with the second round..(in which mosley hit him with 2 homerun punches)...and floyd didnt fall.i think that discourages shane since he knewhe wasnt gonna out box floyd and it was game over.....but i dont see why cotto doesnt get more credit for his shane win

I didn't see Mosley's will get broken, maybe you saw something else. I saw a frustrated Mosley understand he couldn't beat Floyd, it happens.

He didn't give up, he didn't quit so let's stop with the dramatics and just give each fighter his due.

Isnt that pretty much the definition of getting your will broken?

This. I didn't see Mosley's will broken. I just saw him get frustrated and unable to pull the trigger while getting outclassed.

I think mosley stopped thinking about winning around the 7-9th rounds. but it wasn't just because of floyd's intelligence. mosley thought he was gonna be the bigger fighter in the ring, but floyd was just as big and a lot stronger.

Yea Hattons will was always intact....it lookd like he would rather get KO'd attempting to win then cruise to a loss on point trying to avoid a KO
