    Hozumi Hasegawa

I still believe Hasegawa is better then Montiel...he got caught by a good punch PERIOD...he was dominating Montiel and the left hook that Hasegawa got caught with was the ONLY significant punch landed by Montiel...Hasegawa got a lil careless and you cant get careless with a veteran like Montiel...i believe if there is a rematch Hasegawa would play it smart and easily outbox the smaller Montiel....i do give credit to Montiel for following up on Hasegawa the way he did

I had Hasegawa up 3-0 and I had winnig the 4th. I think hes the better fighter but boxing doesnt always work like that. Montiel just caught him with a great shot. Id fasvor Hasegawa in the rematch. But we wont see it for a while because hes having surgery and I think hes in line to fight the Morel-Arce winner.

How was he dominating the first 3 rds they were feeling each other out,in the 4th Montiel found his range and koed him,and it was like 6 punches not just 1.

I agree with you. But I still think Montiel deserves full credit for his win.

I been saying this forever. Lets have a 118 16 man single elimination tournament. Hasegawa, Moreno, Montiel, Perez, Mares, Cermeno, Agbeko, Siderenko, Morel, Donaire, Penalosa, Munoz, Mabuza, Avalos, Bakhtin, and Shadows boy Napa.

The tournament could last a year.

Man 118 is so deep. Plus they have a few other prospects.

This is where I disagree. Hasegawa has a bad habit of dropping his hands when throwing, leaving himself open. To me, that wasn't him being careless, it's a flaw that he has. It's just that none of his opponents were good enough to capitalize on it.

well that should tell you a lot then if you think they were just feeling each other out..... Hasegawa won the first 3 rounds easy.... imagine if Hasegawa wasnt feeling him out....and the only solid punch Montiel landed was the one that hurt Hasegawa.... maybe the six punches your talking about were when he already had Hasegawa hurt

The first 3 rds were closer then you think ,i saw neither fighter land anything good actually i saw Montiel getting closer and closer with his punches so when the ko happened i was not that surprised,i think Montiels would win a rematch as well.
