Montiel beat a good opponent in Hasegawa. But Donaire willl outbox Montiel for a decision.

I like Montiel in this fight. Not only has he had the better quality opposition, he just came off the biggest victory of his career, while Nonito's activity has been sporadic and it has been against some poor to mediocre opposition, that's not good for a prizefighter.

Nonito definitely has some physical advantages. I'm just curious to see who exactly is the faster fighter, both are lightning quick. If anything, this fight may just come down to who wants it more, and Montiel is a hard-nosed type of guy, so, I'm going with Montiel.

I think Donaire would totally abuse Montiel.

i think i'll favor donaire. he's more elusive than hozumi. his footwork and use of angles, as well as his ability to punch off them with power, makes it difficult for any fighter to get within range without paying a price.
given montiel's short arms he'll have to try to get inside, or bull rush to land his hook.

overall though i think it'd be a fairly boring fight since both are smart, skilled speedy counter punchers.
                donaire by close, boring UD.

montiel only has a punchers chance.....but thats what he had vs hasegawa, so.....good thing for nonito is that he is taller, has more reach.....
