So why doesn't NSAC just make OST mandatory effective Sept. 2010?

Manny's gripe is that he doesn't want the testing too close to a fight in fear of making him feel weak (*****s insert comment here).....

Yet he has been quoted many times saying that "He will do whatever blood/ urine tests are required by the commission where the fight takes place"

OK...."easy fix" right? With the amount of money that this fight will generate, the exposure for boxing in general, and the "cleanup" of the sport.....why hasn't the NSAC already approved this standard?

Some blame Floyd for the fight not taking place due to his OST demands....

Some blame Pacquiao for not agreeing to the 14-day cuttoff presented by Floyd's team....

Big Picture - Blame the NSAC for not implementing the OST......

BIG PICTURE. You tell an entire boxing community they have to pay for the testing and get tested 10+ times while they're trying to make weight and see what happens.

    Did you ever consider that?

I sure did.....with the amount of money that is being thrown around these days by promoters, cable providers and site fees.....why can't they pinch their pockets "for the better of the sport"?

And regarding the ENTIRE BOXING COMMUNITY.....if Floyd is really on this crusade to clean up the sport...and HE is able to do it...Shane is able to do it....Pacquiao HOPEFULLY will do it....

If the entire boxing community CAN NOT DO IT....then obviously Mr Mayweather Jr had his own hidden agenda....

It's not whether the fighters can physically do it.
It's whether they can afford to.

Big-name fights mean plenty of cash is involved....
but undercarders get little, and those in lesser events
get even less, and you want THEM to pay for testing?
There's no way the alphabets will eat the cost.

If they can get full state subsidy, maybe, since it'd be
a state athletic commish requiring it.

Well....isn't this the BIGGER PICTURE of "cleaning up the sport"?

Maybe the USADA/WADA can give the NSAC some kind of discount on the costs since they will be using their tests as the standard for boxing in their state.

Maybe this is something that the Mayweather's should've thought about.....
