Anyone think Williams is getting knocked out or down this weekend?

I got a feeling he might Cintron has a nice jab he can use to keep some distance and has a nice right + Shields has helped him improve his boxing skills.

Williams defense is basically the number of punches he throws + his face, i was seriously trying to think of the hardest puncher Williams has faced and well i can't remeber. Cintron does have good power even at 154 also he had Angulo extremely wary of him after the first couple of rounds and was able to outbox him as a result.

I can see it going either way with Cintron being overwhelmed and quiting/being stopped or him knocking Williams down multiple times/getting a ko. Other then his size/heart and being abit of a freak of nature with his long arms Williams doesn't impress me much..

    Terrible defense
    Poor skills
Not great power for such a big guy like say Hearns
    Overated chin

    Cintron Knocks him out/down

    Williams makes him quit

Actually Williams doesn't stop moving his upper body back and forth.

He isn't straight up and down... he uses pretty decent lateral movement.

I think there is a good chance for PWill to get rocked and maybe KD but he has more heart than Cintron and will pull it out

Which is good in itself, but otherwise he's waaaaaay too loose and Martinez had him all figured out. Rather than coming across as a series of calculated, methodical upper body motions like that of Pacquiao, Williams just gangles around and randomly shrugs his shoulders with arms flailing around. There's no method to the madness. It looks cool and creates an illusion of high activity, but I don't think it's going to work against top level opposition - let alone wash with any judges who look for clean punches.

I been looking through a few videos of Williams recently cause im probably gonna bet real money on this fight and i agree, it just seems a little random to me and Martinez had it all figured out.

Snootz Martinez didn't have him allll figured out. Regardless of who you gave it to, it was a really close fight.

Quintana on the other hand lol.

I think he had Willaims figured out stylistically but it just seems to me Martinez has stamina issues but vs Pavlik he paced himself.. he did well won the first 4-5 took a bit of a breather then came on strong later on

In both cases Williams had trouble with his camps to be fair though

Maybe not completely figured out - I exaggerated a bit with that one - but what he did do was manage to time his rhythm and use his looseness against him. Usually Williams is able to out-hustle his man because of his awkward upper body movement, but for anyone with a handspeed advantage it ends up being negated.

It's good to be loose (i.e. Vitali or Froch), but then there's such a thing as being too loose to the point where it just becomes wild and random. What ends up happening is that the looseness gradually transitions into erratic tightness - just like what happened to Mosley last weekend. Bad trap to fall into.
