I'm almost certain in fact; I've been thinking about this & here's my thoughts....
1) Khan won't fight any big risk fighters yet & will still be looking to pad his record out & Hatton being far from prime is a good name to add to Barrerra, Malignaggi and Kotelnik.
2) Khan is getting a big US push & Hatton would be a great lamb to slaughter.
3) They're both British & Hatton will bring his fans, Amir his. This would be a HUGE UK fight. The biggest since benn / Eubank in fact.
4) (Human nature) Hatton & his fans know he isn't the same guy that took Tzyu and he doesn't have an '0' to lose like Calzaghe would. If Hatton is offered enough money - 8+ million - he'll take it loss or not. Hatton & Historians will know he was far far from his peak and the loss is meaningless. Human nature will win this one & only naive fans will think Khan bettered a prime Hatton so hatton has nothing to lose.
I'm fairly sure this will happen after Hatton has a tune up.
