last night I talked to my uncle on the phone for about 3 hours about NOTHING but boxing....he's about 54 yrs old now and have followed the sport since he was about 8 yrs old....he schools me on the history of the oldschool Philly fighters...in fact, he was in the building the night Boogaloo Watts gave the great Marvin Hagler his first lost....he was in the Garden on the night Joe beat Ali...a real boxing grey head ....anyway, he told me Shane's ONLY chance to win against Floyd would be in the first half of the fight....he told me to bet on Floyd but I went with Shane....last night he laughed at me and told me that Manny Pacquiao will BEAT Floyd....I laughed at him and told him he's crazy!!...scary thing is that unc hasn't got a fight wrong since Tyson-Douglass...(well thats what I'm hearin').....I'm goin' to Philly in a few weeks and I'll try to get him to drop some knowledge and upload it on to youtube....just wanted to share that, not sayin it means anything....I just found it interesting that somebody with so much boxing knowledge would pick Manny to beat Floyd!!

Manny Pacquiao is indeed a great and entertaining fighter but
he has no defense AND going up against someone as accurate
and fast as Floyd Mayweather Jr will get him beat up bottom line.
Floyd is almost impossible to hit and when he does, we already
see that he has a solid chin and can regain his composure
unusually fast and keep apllying pressure. Manny has been
hit by lesser accurate fighters. I'm basing my annalysis and
prediction on the fighting styles of both fighters. Offensive
pressure and power will not beat Manny as proven in his
last fights with bigger stronger guys but patience, defense
and accurate punching will. Having no defense is a no no
going up against a counter puncher.

the reason why Floyd's having a field day connecting those rights over Shane is because Shane's too flatfooted

his hands-feet coordination was well-off

Pacquiao would never stand still in front of Floyd

I hear ya. Just believe that Floyd has the accurate counter punching
ability to stop Pacquiao in his tracks and frustrate him quite like Floyd
does every offensive fighter. Manny doesn't have an answer for
counters but rather prefers to jump in swinging with combinations
using speed. If Floyd keeps his guard high and patiently times Pac
everytime he comes forward to engage Floyd, then Pac will get his
face beat in. Cotto had the right idea in their fight early on but
couldn't keep up the pace. I'll put anything on Floyd beating Pac
and possibly by KO/TKO around the 9th or 10th RD.

and we've seen it in some of his big fights. Floyd is not
the fighter you want to make mistakes with. If Floyd stays
focused and careful enough that Pac doesn't land any lucky
punches, then Pac loses. A no defensive style will not beat
Floyd and as we see now, pressure will not intimidate Floyd
either.
