Freitas exercises option for Corrales rematch!

Corrales-Freitas II on tap for this fall!

June 16, 2005 - Artie Pelullo, President of Banner Promotions, has informed **********.com that Acelino Freitas, the crown ***el of his stable has exercised his right to a rematch against lightweight king Diego "Chico" Corrales. On August 7, 2004 Freitas quit against Corrales in the tenth round of an action packed bout. Prior to that bout, Team Corrales signed a contract that granted Freitas the right to a rematch for up to one year after the first fight. Corrales promoter Gary Shaw was unavailable for immediate comment, but Shaw recently confirmed to **********.com that GSP has the October 1 Showtime date. Pelullo also informed ********** that Freitas plans to take a tune up in Brazil on July 16.

Yeah I agree. That new Corrales is something out of a science fiction novel.

This is all bad news for Castillo. Its ****ed up that someone else is gonna take the glory in whipping Diegos ass after Castillo did all the work. I dont think Frietas can beat him but im saying if Diego fights Hatton.Yes I think Diego will never be the same guy he was that night againts Castillo.
