Marquez got paid more money for it anyway.. not like the outcome wouldn't have been the same even if Floyd did shave those last 2 pounds off.

It was obvious that Floyd took it easy on Juan, i mean could you imagine the uproar if Floyd would have finished him in the 2nd round after the knock down? after all the fuss about him coming in over weight? Floyd done the smart thing and went the distance to firstly get some rounds in and secondly change the conversation from the weight controversy, after the fight most people were raving about his skills more than anything else.

i agree, even an old and past prime jmm made floyd hesitant to go on full offense.

I don't believe it that floyd took it easy, he just can't knock out jmm.

He didn't talk **** because the general public didn't know who JMM was. Fighters like DLH, Hatton, Pacquiao are more recognized in the mainstream and deemed "dangerous opponents" so of course, to the sell the fight, Floyd has to talk **** about them to create the, "can these known guys shut Floyd up" aspect of the fight.

With JMM, it was different since he wasn't as known as the aforementioned. Why would he downplay and discredit a fighter people didn't know about? That would be counter productive since the general public wouldn't have any reason to take the fight seriously.

JMM never disrespected Floyd once. Every fighter he trash talks has popped off on him before. JMM didnt.

that has nothing to do with it. thats as naive as saying "all you have to do is call out FLoyd and he'll fight you". We're all grown ass adults with common sense.
