  • what's you're favorite dirty move?....

    there are fouls in everyfight. it's not the ones that the ref calls that are interesting. it's the ones he doesn't call (cuz the fighter who initiated the foul hid it so well)). every fighter fouls. boxing is indeed a 'controlled' war. even cutsey footsey fighters like mayweather and jones foul. don't believe me? watch mayweather bump a guy with his shoulder as his man rests his head on his body then swing at his temple. that's a no,no. or watch jones hold and spin a guy then unleash a hook to the body or an uppercut. they of course never get called on them as they hide it very well.

    whether it's hitting the leg/hip opposite side of the ref, stepping on the lead foot of the opponent, hooking tight so it convenietly hits the elbow if you miss, etc.

    things like intentional headbutts, hitting the groin are quite obvious and signs of frustration. i want to know which ones that are used to gain an edge are you favorite...and what you have tried out?

    personally the spin move is great...you clinch then fake like you're comming out to engage then you spin him (slightly..too much and the ref callas you out on it) and hit before he ever gets his bearings and plant.

    What a disgusting topic. If you have a significant strength advantage, then clinching is a subtle yet effective foul.

      I like the one Mayweather used againest Bruseles, where he kept pushing off with his elbow and firing hard over hand rights. The ref called him for it once but he got away with it

          I love how Ali used to push his opponent away from him with one or both hands. Another move I liked is when Ali held his opponent's head down to prevent punches from being thrown and/or to tire them out.

              [QUOTE=LuKahnLi]What a disgusting topic.QUOTE]

              if you look real close it happens in 90% of championship pro-fights. it's such an occurence that it's now pretty much a part of the game...

                You could have named this subject slightly differently, because I don't think anyone (except an intentionaly dirty fighter) actually likes dirty moves!... LOL!... Or has a favourite.

                When I used to fight, I didn't have "favourite" dirty moves I would try on an opponent.

                But if we're talking about dirty moves... Bernard Hopkins like clock work hit's his opponent low on the opposite side to the referee... (It's like he's mastered always knowing where the referee is and which side to try it on ).

                  If you will look real close, I said that the topic was disgusting then promptly replied to it. Which would probably mean I wasn't really serious.

                    lol! i know. notice bernard is meticulous on who is ref'ing the fight.

                    ha,ha...and i know people don't necessarily have a 'favorite'...just ones they 'unintentionally' do...often.lol.
