Fighters can lose their prime in one fight. Unfortunately, I believe Miguel Cotto had his boxing prime taken from him by being beaten with plaster-of-paris for 11 rounds. Margarito should have gone to jail as soon as the commissioner lifted up his hand-wraps and two small "cast-like" blocks fell out. I hope somewhere down the line in his career, Margarito is beaten into unconsciousness and is forced to retire and spend the rest of his money on medical care. I am a big Cotto fan but I do not think that Miguel will be able to win another fight against decent competition because of the damage he sustained for almost 33 minutes.
