i think that's clearly why roach wanted to put manny in the ring with some tune up sparring partners like forbes. i dont think puttin him in the ring with clottey was a good idea tho...but we'll see. i think that was a waste of a tune up fight.

Personally, I think it was just Floyd's gameplan to stand in front of Mosley. Pac does have faster footwork though in my humble opinion.
Ill give you that... On the other hand Floyd has the hand speed, the movement, coordination and length....

I feel you .... I think that Floyd will use Manny speed and work rate against him.... From that point on he'll let Manny run into traps all night.....

Pacquiao has only fought fighters he matches up well against, since his controversial decision against Marquez. I'll place him somewhere between 3 - 6 , since he was given the chance to fight those damaged fighters. If others were given the same chance, with the same weight controversy against them coming off horrible losses, etc, they could have done the very same. In short, I'm not impressed, but you can't take him off the list since he did do it - while others didn't.

At the same time, I am not impressed with Hopkins over Pavlik. A real example of where he stands p4p is his fight against Calzaghe. He made both fighters move up in weight. He schooled a tailor made Pavlik, but struggled with a semi-problematic Calzaghe and lost the fight. If Hopkins then chose to fight 4 more "Pavlik's" while avoiding the "Calzaghe's" I wouldn't move him up any higher than where he was.

For this reason, Klitchko is highly underrated for dominating just about every style he's put up against.

I think Cotto provided Floyd with the blueprint to beating Pac after his dominant early rounds, after that fight Floyd was like 'I got it, easy money'. The big question is 'can he implement it'?

I guess that's what we're all waiting to find out.

he does have the faster footwork, but it gets sloppy. he's a rhythem fighter. roach taught him those patters to make it harder to him him, so his foot work benefits him in that regard. but floyd's footwork is much more intelligent, no wasted movement, he manuvers opponents into spots where he can hit them without getting hit, he explodes at unexpected time, just much more dynamic. true students of the sport see this, thats why many ppl are reluctant to pick agaisnt him in any fight even if they dont respect him for whatever reason.

then you don't know what an angle is. any time your position is such that you're flanking your opponent and attacking him from different sides, then you're using angles period. you need to learn your boxing terminology son, you seem new to boxing.
