Green K appreciated

GL: Are you aware of what's been going on with Bradley's opponent pulling out? Kevin has been putting a lot of pressure on Bradley and his people. What would you like to say to them? "I just want to say that there's a lot of people I hear saying we should fight the best in the division. I think the fans want to see it, and I think that TV wants to see it, so let's get it on. Let's stop playing around, and let's get it signed off. There isn't any sense in waiting, he thinks he's the best, I feel I'm the best, so let's get it on."
GL: You don't think the fight will get bigger with more time behind it?
Devon Alexander: "I do, I think it could be bigger as time goes on, and if we both keep winning and doing our thing. Whenever it gets done, it has to be done, because he thinks he's the best, and I feel I'm the best. It has to be done."
GL: As much as you want it to happen next, it probably won't. With that being said, who do you want to fight on August 7th? What are your options looking like?
DA: "It doesn't matter. My coaches are still looking for an opponent right now, but I'll fight anybody in my next fight. This is boxing, and as you know, Greg, I love what I do, and I'm going to go train for whoever."
GL: One of the things that Kevin pointed out was that Sugar Ray Leonard was 25, and Tommy Hearns was 22, so the age doesn't really matter, and it could be building long term rivalry. Do you agree with that?
DA: "I definitely agree. It's amazing to be put in the analogy with some of the greats, and I'm excited. This can be a good fight for people to see, for the fans to see who's the best. I think the winner of this fight goes on to way bigger things that we can imagine, so we really need to get it on."
GL: What do you think the buzz will be like in St. Louis for the fight?
DA: "Man, you have people in St. Louis talking about how I need to get Bradley, saying he's talking all this stuff and I really need to get him. They're excited, and they're definitely going to come out and see what happens in that fight. A lot of people know Timothy Bradley, those that follow boxing, and some that don't know about him. He's in my way of getting into the position I'm trying to, so they really want me to go and put it one him real quick."
GL: What did you think of Mayweather's performance against Mosley?
DA: "He looked good, it was a splendid performance. The right hand was scary, but it was a masterful performance. I knew if Mayweather could get past that round, he was going to be smart and avoid the right hand all day. That's what he did, he was smart, he kept his composure, he got the victory and I'm proud of him."
GL: Andre Berto, if you can't get a big fight at 140, his name has been mentioned as one that peaked Team Alexander's interest. Tell us about that.
DA: "I would love to get that fight on. I think it would be a good fight for the fans, and I think TV would buy that too. I would definitely love to get down, and Berto's a good fighter. His record is undefeated too, he was an amatuer with me, and I would love to get that fight on. I think it would be a good seller."
GL: How does a fight with you and Berto play out?
DA: "We're going to explode when we first come out. I see some flaws in Andre's performance when he fights southpaws, and he hasn't fought a slick, quick, moving type of southpaw like me. I'm going to give him problems, I'm going to be too much for him, I think. The punches are going to be coming at an angle that he's never seen before."
GL: Closing thoughts.
DA: "Again, **********, I appreciate you having me on, this is the best. Like I said before, continue to follow my career, and I'm thankful for all my fans out there. I'm going to be undisputed champion of the world, and I'm going to be on that pound for pound list."
