well, yeah I am actually, In the last 14 months, Marquez has won 1 round, does that qualify him to be #3 of the best boxers in the world? not in my opinion, if he wins against Diaz easily, then maybe you could make an argument, but I think activity has to be a big part of the p4p rankings.

Marquez may be a good boxer, but what has he done recently, not much really.

Why people will say that the likes of Cotto or williams are more skilled that wladimir i just dont understand.

And right now, wladimir is more skilled than JMM, I said it. JMM deserves credit for his last two KO wins but he also took a lot of shots in return, Wladimir is better today because his defense is so much better and he consistently has been winning every minute of every round.

Yeah I know the division is weak, but Hopkins gets his credit for 20 defenses of a weak middleweight division so wlad deserves his credit.

disagree, JMM's an undersized lightweight and he was able to ko to highly rated lightweights (Casamayor and Diaz) and he jumped up two divisons to fight the best boxer on the planet. Wlad's dwarfed most of his opponents and he relies on pretty much just on 1's and 2'

if mayweather can get #1 p4p by fighting a blown up 35 yr. old featherweight and a 40 yr. old welterweight......

marquez can get #3 p4p even having a loss to a welterweight as a natural featherweight.

            #3 is somewhat high.

3 may be high, but both marquez's and diaz's recent losses weren't at their best weights.

does anybody take skill set into consideration when compiling p4p lists anymore?

Lucky? He was carving up Diaz's defense for the last few rounds like it wasn't even there. He started off taking more punches than he should have, but he made his adjustments and earned that KO. Man can ****ing fight. Maybe not #3, but definitely top 5.

Are you sure about that? Martinez has went on to do something meaningful. What have Casamayor or Diaz done here lately?

This time I agree with you. JMM looks like he is winding down his career. The PPV rematch with Diaz will be a dud because both fighters have slipped since they fought on regular HBO. Matches against Hatton or Morales are for those who like to live in the past.
