Martinez is a southpaw, he's bigger, he's fast, and he has an unconventional style. The fight would also be at 154 at least, and Martinez would have the big edge.

There would definitely be some criticism from the less knowledgeable posters on the board, but Sergio would be one of the few fighters Floyd has fought recently that there was NO legitimate excuses. Mosley WAS 38 coming off a long layoff, Marquez WAS too small, slow, old etc, Hatton WAS a limited fighter above his best weight, DLH was a good win, Baldomir(who?), Judah is one of the biggest underachievers in boxing(he lost to Baldomir),Sharmba was decent but past prime, Gatti didnt have enough skill share the ring with a fighter as good as Floyd, etc etc etc. Floyd fans like to point out he gets hated on as do his choice of opponents, but I personally cant give him the full credit his talent deserves until I have at least some doubts about the outcome of the fight before it happens. Hes held to a higher standard because great fighters should be held to a higher standard than everyone else.

I wouldn't need to say anything because all the people I argued with about Floyd on here deep down would know I was right so there would be no need to really talk about it more.

I don't know if he can do that to Martinez or not though.
