Nobody is going to beat Mayweather by decision....even if someone were to get lucky and knock him out....he will probably have a rematch clause and I seriously doubt anyone beats Floyd twice in a row.

I have to agree with the article becasue in boxing you have to beat someone to take their place in the rankings otherwise the rankings are just another popularity contest that has zero meaning.

Marg was #1 after beating cotto, when shane beat Marg that made him #1. pac never beat shane so he shouldn't hav been #1 in the first place. like u just said, u hav to beat someone to take their place. shane was the rightful #1 and floyd beat him making him #1

When Pacquiao fought and beat Miguel Cotto, at catchweight, Shane Mosley was ranked the number 1 welterweight in the world.

Pacquiao should never have moved to number one in the first place.

Mosley was the true number one welterweight with his defeat over Antonio Margarito.

Mayweather beat Mosley so that makes him number 1.

Again, Pacquiao should not have been ranked ahead of Mosley in the first place.

For once I think Ronnie did a good job. Beating Mosley, who was ranked lower than Pacman both in the WW and P4P rankings, shouldn't be enough to make Floyd the no. 1. This is crooked. Very suspect. Floyd still should be below Pacman. After all, he did retire. If he wants to be the P4P best again, he has to reclaim his throne by fighting the man who took it while he was retired.

BTW, beating Clottey and Cotto is better than beating Marquez and Mosley.
