Totally agree. Martinez has a lot of advantages over Floyd. He's bigger, stronger, fast, slick. I still think Floyd is faster but Martinez has enough speed to give Mayweather problems. That would be the more dangerous fight for Floyd I think.

I guess that's what happens when people start to realize that he's gonna beat Pacquiao.

They already got the next fighter in line for them to claim "he avoided" should he opt to retire after fighting Pacquiao.
I don't think you can call Floyd a small WW anymore. He's grown into that division quite well and has packed on quite a bit of muscle over the last few years.

Maybe, but I don't think that fight will ever happen anyway.

          Not enough people know Martinez.

It'd be taking a step back in terms of business.

And as we know, Floyd is all about business. He said it himself. He cares nothing about legacy.

            So Martinez.
How did you come to the conclusion that Sergio is the better, faster, smarter fighter compared to PAC ?

The only thing Sergio has over PAC is his size, slickness and punching power, however, I don't think he's P4P the more powerful fighter.

This would have to happen at 160. Martinez has nothing at 154 that Mayweather wants. Regardless of what weight it may take place, Sergio Martinez is a really small MW. If Mayweather can't beat Martinez at 160, then neither can he beat him at 154. Alot more to gain at 160 though.

mayweather-pacquiao would be a rather easy fight, IMO.

manny will trouble him early with his speed, so floyd will have to work more, earlier, than he's used to.....but by about rounds 4-5, manny's getting hit often, is not coming forward that much, and the fight is at floyd's pace.

                martinez is the tougher fight.

all we have is floyd's one fight at 154 and he was considerably slower both fights are extremely challenging and something people would pay to see.

I agree with that. I don't really think the fight will happen either but it would be awesome if it did.

                      Depends on the weight.
But even at 154, I think Martinez would be the tougher fight.
