POLL: Does Floyd have a legitimate GOAT claim?

Here is the question. Oscar De La Hoya said Floyd has a legit claim. I agree. Anybody else?

Floyd is the GOAT. He has surpassed SRR and Ali in terms of achievement.

Floyd is not the goat. No way can he possibly make that claim!

Floyd might be the GOAT. I'm not sure if his achievements warrant that claim yet.

his career isnt over yet, i reserve judgement. If he has 4-5 great wins and retires undefeated then id say he has a shout for top 5 ATG

You are only as good as the people you face but I dont think Floyd has faced enough tests in his career to be considered the greatest. I think any modern day fighter will struggle considering the old timers fought much more.

Skillwise, yes. He'll never be considered as the GOAT though, his resume isn't strong enough.

i dont see why that is the case. take ANY other sport for example. These days athletes ( as a whole ) are bigger, stronger, faster ... just generally better.

I dont see why boxing would be much different.

Technically wise i believe theres no match whatsoever, in that department hes already the GOAT

Resume wise hes not retired yet, lets see what he does until then, as of now hes not, but still hes at least in the first 20 best fighters of all times.

Yes, the old-timers fought much more. However, I have a hard time believing that the old-timers were conditioned as much as the newer athletes are. That's why I have a harder time believing that Bill Russell, Larry Bird were greater than Michael Jordan. I believe whole-heartedly that Muhammad Ali had a greater career than Mike Tyson, BUT I disagree with the notion that he would easily dispose of prime Tyson, if the fantasy bout could be made. Tyson was just too athletic and too good in his prime.
