Gary Shaw keeps saying that that fight needs to marinate, but what's the point of letting it wait if there's nobody else to fight? It'd be one thing if Bradley really was going to fight Maidana next and Alexander had a good opponent lined up, but that's obviously not the case. Plus, all year he'd been complaining that nobody wanted to fight Bradley. Now Alexander has stepped up to the plate several times and Shaw wants to wait.
We're all boxing fans here; how many of us are clamoring for fights like Bradley-Abregu and Alexander-Kotelnik? I mean most of us will watch them, but are we really all that excited about either? Not so much.
Whether its in Southern California, St Louis or anywhere else Bradley-Alexander should happen this summer. Maidana can fight the winner or he can fight Amir Khan or Victor Ortiz (or Malignaggi or Campbell).
