I would throw up if this fight gets made. This is dirtier than a fight with Margacheato.

Why not fight Williams? Hes even agreed to come down to 147 for a fight with pac or floyd.

JMW is 147,1-154. If both fighters agree upon 150 then of course it should be about the title.

The rule is you can weigh as much as 154. Anything else is a special contract.

Holy ****, I hope this isn't the case. If I was Cotto, I would run away from Pacquiao as fast as possible, he took an incredible beating in their first fight. Arum would do this to a fighter, though...I still think Cotto can beat Foreman, but he needs to stay out of the same time zone as Pacquiao.

But still we dont see Floyd winning titles at catchweights, when he wanted to step up and take the Jr. Middle title of the WBC variety off Oscar he didnt cop out with any of this catchweight stuff, and came in 4 pounds under the limit.

Manny would still have beaten Cotto at 147 im sure, but i doubt he would have stopped him. That 2 pounds makes alot of difference.

Cotto is now moving up to 154 so that displays the difficulty he was having even making 147, let alone 145.

Regardless im not a big fan of catchweights and was a little embarrased for Floyd when he failed to come down 3 pounds to meet someone who was coming up 14 pounds. However when titles are at stake its bending history a little. How can you consider someone the welterweight champion when they didnt even fight at the full welterweight limit?

I thought the stoppage was premature given how long the fight was allowed to go on for when it was clear Cotto was losing, it probably could have gone to the cards.

Though a fight at 147 would still see PAC mince him, the catchweight issue really takes away credit for the win, however Cotto usually comes in at 146, so essentially he was 1 pound drained.

Where in the rule book does it say either of them had to weigh in at 150? You cant have a restriction of 154 then you make your own rule about 150, If you are going to fight for a title then abide by the rules of the organisation period.

If your fighting for a belt it should be at that belts weight, not a catch weight or you are not thats belts champion, regardless of who it is.

if pacquiao cant fill the weight properly then he should come in at 150 himself and let cotto come in at 154 and hed better be willing to defend it against the big guys

what are we talking about this fight is bull****, cottos gonna take the rematch because hes a real throwback fighter who will fight anyone, he was planning on fighting margarito in the summer after his bout with mosley until he found out about the wraps
