I know why Mosley gassed out so early..

because he was trainng prior the fight with maymweather. Remember how the fight with Andre Berto got cancelled in the last minute and the fight with mayweather got made straight afterwards... Basicially he didn't rest and he overtrained himself!!

    thats very possible.

also not having faced quite a fast hard to hit guy would have gassed him out,and throwing punches and hitting only air too.

the main problem was not repeating his work in round 2,not having the smarts to stick on a gameplan, let those hands go,throw them jabs and combinations.

    hele bounce back vs berto.

Mayweather stays near fight shape year-round. All the reports are that Floyd is always sparring and that nobody works harder in the gym than FMJ. Why is he never overtrained?

I respect what you are saying. I just don't think that Mosley overtrained. It would have shown in training. Naaz has been around the sport long enough to know.

I just think the gulf in skill is that wide. Trinidad never looked ****** in a ring until he had Winky Wright in front of him. Happens.

he gassed out because he likes to hold a lot during his fights and floyd wouldn't allow it. bernard hopkins does the same thing. if you look at the fight, mayweather would rarely allow him to hold - especially after he (mosley) got done puncing.

when mosley tried to hold, mayweather put the elbow to his neck or pushed his head down. mayweather used a subtle but brilliant gameplan.

I believe that might have happened too. It's much easier to get overtrained when you're older too

            WEIGHT DRAINED!!!

look at all his interviews he was tired. Look at the final 24/7 the scene when the test people came to his house. He was pleading not to have to drink water b/c he was still trying to make weight. With that being said once you sign the line excuses are invalid.

Floyd stays in shape year round, that doesn't mean he's in training camp year round.

There's a difference between being in great shape and peaking in a training camp.

Shane got tired because he was too tight and too tense

It was Floyds handspeed and quick counterpunches that made Shane tired. He was too concerned with getting hit with something he didnt see, so he fought too tense and couldnt relax which resulted in him being tired. I also get the sense that Shane may be having a tough time making 147 now in his late 30's. In that last 24/7 episode where the blood testers came to test him, he told the guy that his mouth was dry and he didnt have any fluids in him and he had to make weight in a few days. That was a telling sign that Shane was dried out to make that 147.

Those right hands he landed on Floyd in the 2nd round would have knocked out any other weltweight!!

its possible he overtrained. floyd is great w/ the timing. although I think floyd would've beaten him regardless, the overtraining didn't help.
