go see casamayor vs santa cruz. casa was off for over a year & was 37 years old. he got outboxed by a limited, plodding, slow brawler. its the same exact thing physically with shane.
casamayor can not be compared to mosley, who casa beat recently, katsidis? Big deal, look who Mosley recently beat.
Mosley was gassed because of precision body shots to the solar plexus and missing badly. Did he looked gassed before? You tell me. He wasnt young when he destroyed Margarito. U looking for excuses.

I am not saying some of the greats wouldn't beat him but that they would all have trouble and there most definitely would be some losers. One of the most athletic fighters ever at that weight with a huge arsenal of offensive weapons. He was ferocious, and he has one of the best chins ever as well, he has been in with some big boys and his chin held up. Shane was mean at 135 and I think he would own some greats.

Other than that I am good with it.
I ment best current weight buddy , as in a reflection of Pac wanting Mosley at 142-144 , Floyd is also not at his best career weight today , he was better at the lighter weights , but we must keep it in the here now for true perspective .

casamayor beat katsidis after robbing santa cruz.

mosley beat margarito who was suffering the ill effects of the cotto fight where he took 3 punches from cotto to land his one. at least cotto had 2 fights to recover before taking on a elite fighter.

margarito went from cotto straight to shane.

actually katsidis & margarito share similar traits & katsidis is probably fresher of the two. shane was made to look better than he actually is by the worst version of margarito. whose margarito & what made him so great by the way?

            M@nny,

give it up. You have no cred remaining at this stage.

The way I see it, Manny hasn't done anything to lose his spot at the top.

Floyd lost his spot at the top because he retired and Pac outshone all Floyd's victories during his absence.

Floyd has to beat Manny to get his spot back. Simple as that.

Marg was only told to be the most feared man in boxing period. By haters was also the one Floyd was ducking and running scared from. Marg went straight to shane because he thought he was done...he found out he wasnt!

Bottom line is, whats this discussion all about?. Floyd beats everybody they put in front of him. Others either are too young, too old, too slow, too small, he got beat by this and that, he was softened. Thats not his fault if those guys take more punishment than him all their career. Either way yo wanna put it man, Mosley fight was masterclass, perfect execution of a gameplan, and floyd dared to stay in front of a big experienced puncher like him and fight.

Cant have it both ways if you want the title to be earned in the ring , then Manny has to beat Floyd who never lost it in the ring , if you want to have it so that who earns the most brownie points , Floyd just went to the front , either way Floyd will today be P4P No 1 ,,,, not so simple as that is it

Pacquiao beat the #2 Welterweight to become #1. Mayweather beat the #1 Welterweight to become #1. Yeah, Mayweather deserves the #1 spot at Welterweight.

how long ago was that? he lost that title to paul williams by the way.

all of his opponents are in those conditions because he retired from boxing when the division he was occupying was the hottest, deepest, & best in all of boxing after beating 140 pounder ricky hatton.

cotto was still fresh, so was margarito, so was mosley, so was paul williams.

they only got to the condition they were because they fought each other & floyd waited to leech of the carcass.

masterclass doesnt explain mosley. this is the guy who struggled once his athleticism was gone which he relied on heavily. lets not forget he actually used steroids by the way.
