The fight was 100% made until team mayweather started using OST to get out of the fight

arum and poochiao knew about ost from the beginning and they agreed, it only
became a problem after floyd agreed to every stipulation from manny with the 10 miillion dollar penalty for every pound over the welterweight limit...which arum and poochiao didn't expect...

they expected floyd not to agree to the 50/50 and the 10 million dollar for every pound penalty which is ***** to say the least...

Funny thing is that their all Top Rank guys. Pac wouldnt fight Foreman at 154 because of height concerns. Well Margarito is of equal height to foreman with more experience and a longer reach-- someone explain to me why would he fight Margarito then. And to fight Cotto at another catchweight is just ridiculous. I would rather have Cotto, who is my favorite fighter, lose to Foreman instead of him winning and getting pitted against Pac at 150 for a super-welter title match and possibly allow Pacquiao to win an title at an 8th division.

This is how Arum uses the Top Rank umbrella to write history. Not only can he further seal his legacy by guiding Pacquiao to the 8th title, but a turn out like that would have beneficial effects on his recruiting efforts especially as Golden Boy ramps up the competition.
