If this number is true, UFC is bigger than Boxing...
UFC is slightly bigger in the US. Worldwide there shouldnt even be a comparison though. Boxing by a mile.

De la hoya vs. Mosley did 800k each
Mosley vs. Vargas did 400k each
        Mosley vs. Cotto 250k

everyone should rejoice if it's around those number because the Pac vs Floyd fight has a better chance of happening

          1.8 and higher = fight's not happening.

I think thats possible knowing that Pac/Clottey hit 700k w/o 24/7 episodes and clottey is a no name compared to SSM.

How is it bigger?? Floyd vs JMM vs UFC 103 was a disaster..Boxing killed UFC when they both had PPV on the same night.

UFC's best selling card was UFC 100 and that card had GSP, Brock and Dan Henderson..Even with those 2 superstars of UFC it only sold 1.1 mil...This isn't even more than a Mayweather-Mosley card(I think.) Boxing is still bigger in the U.S and the last few PPVs have shown that.

Whether or not he's been on PPV recently doesn't change the fact that he was the #1 WW and has been in the sport long enough to have name recognition.

To put it simple, he was a dance partner and Floyd didn't sell all those PPVs buy himself.

Whereas Pac carried the brunt of the PPV buys in Pac-Clottey because Clottey was not well known at all.
"Around these parts". Ask the casual fan about Mosley's career and a lot people wouldn't be able to tell you about his career.

Every time Floyd sells over a million is because he has a dance partner. The majority of his opponents never sold close to what they sold with Floyd and never made the kind of money they made fighting Floyd.

If Shane was a big draw he wouldn't be fighting on ESPN.......his last PPV before Cotto was Winky (correct me if i'm wrong) and then SSM vs Marg didn't get a PPV, but Cotto vs Marg did excellent PPV numbers.

So again i will ask you with to provide me a rational argument with evidence taht suggests Shane is a PPV attraction.........he hasn't had buzz for a long time......and even against Hoya, the numbers weren't huge.
lol at shane being a bigger draw than cotto.
