Molsey (circa 2000) would have beaten Floyd.

They both cliched a lot but Shane landed the harder shots overall. The Winky rematch was very close as well.

This Floyd. Even if it were 2 years ago Mosley would have done so much better.

2000 Mosley against 2010 Mayweather? It's possible, yeah. At least that version of Mosley would've used the jab and tried to get his shots off first, rather than standing around all jittery-quittery. It would've been a more competitive fight.

But what's done is done. It's pointless speculating about it outside of the Boxing History forum.

What? I gave Mosley 2 rounds at most, and only 1 in the first fight.

C'mon man. Shane has BEEN old. He was old when he fought Margarito, Margarito just sucks. The version of Shane that fought Floyd on Saturday would've still beaten Margarito. Shane's been fighting sorry fighters for years now. Look at who Shane's fought since the 2nd Winky Wright fight. Since then he's fought an old and shot Vargas twice, an old, past-prime Mayorga (who he struggled with), an overrated, flat-footed, slow, cheating bum in Margarito, a C-level fighter in Collazo, Cotto and Floyd (who both beat him). The reason Shane looked "dreadful" to you is because the fighter that was in front of him on Saturday night was the best fighter in the world and still very close to his prime and not an old, shot fighter like Vargas or a cheating bum like Margarito. FLOYD was the reason Shane looked so dreadful.

You give a prime Mosley that 2nd round again and Floyd would probably have been knocked out.

I didn't like Mosley from the first round. Even in the 2nd round, I saw that there was something wrong with Mosley. Mosley has a killer instinct but it didn't show in the 2nd round and for sure not past it.

Age is a killer, .... you never know when its going to hit a fighter but I have seen so many that hit a dead end just about the same age as Mosley.

Well hey, I call what I see. Mosley didn't do **** in those fights. Watch 'em carefully. Slow down the punches. Evaluate which punches were more effective. Split the rounds into minute-long segments. Decide who's setting the pace.

Mosley got humiliated by Wright, and neither fight was even remotely close IMO. They say Froch-Dirrell was close, but I (and many others) could barely find a round to give to Froch.

I'd take Mosley to win a close but clear decision, and if he managed to hurt Floyd with a big shot like he did Saturday, he would not let him off the hook.
