Hopefully the numbers come in higher. I now could see Pac/May certainly doing higher than ODLH/Floyd but 4M buys? Do you guys think I'm reaching TOO high?

If it does exactly the same as Pac-Cotto, that is good for May. Cotto is a bigger draw, and both fights had 24/7's.

It is not fair to compare May/Moz to Pac/Josh.

You know though, while I agree with you, sometimes it depends on who a fighter fights for a consumer to buy. I mean for example a Mexican fight fan might not pay for Marquez fighting Casamayor....but when Floyd's name comes up...he is there. Big names fighting Big names brings in huge PPV buys. I think if Floyd fights a nobody, then he gets around the same amount of buys as Manny...the moment they start fighting different top names, they get big numbers. Imagine Mayweather fought a prime De La Hoya now?? We'd be looking at 4-5million buys! I think it would be similar with Pacquiao now and a prime De La Hoya.....they are being marketed very well....the sponsers May and Pac are getting is boosting their global image (Nike and Reebok etc) and I swear now they've both cleaned up the welterweight and P4P rankings...they just need to fight. I hope they get this done!

4 million is insane to me. Overall.

Think about how insane the Tyson fights were. Or May/DLH. Now DOUBLE the amount of homes buying that.

I don't believe that double the homes would buy. i just think the individual fight parties get bigger. When there's a small fight, I have three people at the house. When there's a big fight, i have ten people at the house. Those casuals and women would not stay home and buy the fight.

The talk now is to make Mayweather-Pacquiao at $100. Seriously.

Wow, the talk is to make Mayweather Vs Pacquiao $100? That sucks. Lucky I'm in the UK, most PPV cost £14.99 here! Mayweather Vs Pacquiao wouldn't make PPV I reckon either....UK not so big on REAL boxing fights unfortunately.

But thats a good observation man...what numbers you reckon Mayweather Vs Pacquiao would do?

thats the problem. Since Schaeffer already talked about 3M up PPV, anything less than that would now look disappointing, when in reality, anything above 1M is great.
