    New Respect for Floyd

I must admit I hated Floyd with a passion but after seeing him rocked badly in round two then composing himself and stood toe to toe with Shane. He looked amazing. I lost my hatred towards him. Floyd even seemed humble after the fight. He looked like a beast. Shane is lucky Floyd is not relentless like Pac-Man, he would have been KO’d in 6 rounds.

I think all those elements got to Shane: 16 month layoff, training for two fights in a row and being 38 years old all caught up with him. I’m not taking anything away from Floyd. I think Shane should hang them up. He had nothing in there. He looked very small and Floyd looked very big. I think Shane did not re-hydrate well. It was very similar to Oscar not re-hydrating well when he fought Pac-man. Thanks for the memories Sugar!!!!!!

the respect was always there, i ask anyone why on earth wouldnt it be?!

he's a wonderful, wonderful boxer, a real throwback student. Time and time again he delivers. He's Americas biggest individual sportsman draw, and the world watches when he fights. I take my hat off to him.

I can understand people not respecting him as a person because of the way he acts some time, but anyone who loves boxings should have respect for Floyd's boxing skills.
