Ouali showed heart. Wonder how Ouali would do against guys like Estrada, Jones, and Berto.

well, aydin beat him so i'd say he's a small step above or on par with estrada.
          who knows with berto?
jones beats the sht out of him though.

Fighting Ouali would be a step back for Berto. Berto stops him but it would be a decent stay busy fight for him. Don't know if he'd beat Estrada, who looked pretty good against Lara, but this would be a good fight for Jones, who I think your overrating. I think Ouali has the chance to shock a lot of people in a Jones fight, though I not sure if I would favor that. But I hope all these relatively young welters become world class fighters, for the sake of boxing, since welterweight is the new HW now. In 2 years, the welterweight division is really going to be special.

no, i think ouali would have an ok chance vs berto...but no chance vs jones.
if you're outboxed by selcuk aydin , you're not that good.

what this fight proved was that saldivia was just another south american with a padded record and a shaky chin.
ouali doesnt even hit that hard.
it doesnt bump ouali up much in my eyes. i know what hes capable of doing and that's being a trial horse for WW contenders.

He's not the next coming of SRL like you think Jones is, but he's not bad. He's got size, pop, he's a southpaw, and his trainer isn't half bad. I think he could be a decent fight for Jones, who I've read is a few fights away from a boxing after dark appearence. Estrada and Jones are the type of guys he needs to fight next, especially considering their coming off wins. Guys like him make up the foundation of a decent weight class. Looking around, I think the welterweight division of 2/3 years from now will just be worlds better than it was 2/3 years ago. Also, what do you think of Ed Pardes?

i dont think jones isnt the 2nd coming of SRL. vernon forrest caliber maybe, but i dont think hes a future all-time great. when i evaluate fighter i look at 3 categories: talent, skill, and intangibles. jones has all 3.
if ouali wants to fight estrada next thats fine...but thats a FNF caliber fight. it'd be an entertaining fight, but thats about it. ouali would just be a stepping stone for jones. frankly, if jones fought him next i'd be disappointed.
i know ouali trains out of LV, does that have anything to do with your interest in him?

                    paredes doesnt ring a bell.
