I don't always agree with what Atlas says, but I do believe that he is a very tough guy. Wasn't that part of the deal with Cus ... that he would pick out some of the meanest guys around and train them. Regardless of how Floyd P. went out against Charles L. wasn't he supposed to have been a real good street thug before Cus brought him in?

atlas is a tyson hater u dont become undisputed hwc, without being a fighter, especally when your undersized, he won tough fights against ruddock and tucker and kept coming, though i agree he did have a lack of confidence a bit, but still had enough to accomplish alot and would of accomplished more if he didnt spend half of his prime in jail

teddy atlas would have been a good fighter if he didnt hurt his back and get scoliosis or w/e. Cus told him that he had the hardest right hand he had ever seen at his age. And when he was fighting in the amatures he was KOin guys Tyson style.

and Atlas is always right. When he predicts the winner of a fight, he's right. On FNF, he always gets the winner right. The only mistake he made in memory is Augutus vs Burton. And he was RIGHT anyway. And his tips are some of the best around cause he Cus teach him how to train.

IMO, Atlas knows the most about boxing and its mechanics. He should definetly get more praise.

BTW, when they say Atlas was a gangsta they arent talking about the ****** thugs of today. The old type gangster. Little bit of a difference. And not like it matters. By the time he put the gun to Tyson's head he was way past that.
I'm still trying to figure out who Tyson really beat to be that great. He crumbled in front of Evander, Lewis made him look like a punching bag. He got a lot of KO's but most of them were against nobody's.

Wasn't Teddy's dad a doctor and Teddy grew up in an upper middle-class home?

Anyway, I don't like Teddy because he's an overrated trainer and a hypocrite, but he is a tough (and kind of crazy) guy.

And I don't blame him for pulling a gun on Tyson. So what if Tyson was a teenager? He was a 200 pound teenager trained to hurt people.

Floyd Patterson was in juve when Cus brought him in. He was a young knucklehead getting into a lot of trouble.

"If not for boxing, I'd be dead or in prison"- Floyd P.

Mike put Evander down with a body shot and everybody was shouting to stop the sparring because Mike wasn't sparring he was fighting by now, and Evander had blood on his gumsheield(internal).. but Evander wouldn't let them stop the sparring, Evander got back up and fought on - Mike put Evander down again and again but Evander kept getting back up.. Mike was dominating Evander but Evander just stood up to him and this discouraged Mike majorly, Evander then apparently held on to Mike and starting speaking into his ear, then Mike wouldn't let go of Evander - he grabbed Evander's arm and wouldn't let loose - when Evander got loose though, Mike walked away and left the ring (because Evander stood up to him and Mike couldn't cope with that).
I find that hard to believe. No way Tyson was dropping Evander again and again.
