Mayweather is setting a better standard for the sport than Pacquiao is.

I don't know how much red this is gonna earn me, but people need to hear the truth. It's not even about the blood testing that Mayweather is demanding to supposedly help clean up the sport. It's also the fact that he has boycotted the sanctioning bodies.

While on the otherhand, you've got Pacquiao in a hurry to fight for one at every turn and then he just ditches it and doesn't defend it at any weight class. Now to be fair, Floyd has never once fought a unification fight and there are some fighters that he could've fought back in the day, but didn't. The same can apply to Manny Pacquiao too though.

And the thing that Pacquiao deserves to get bashed the most for where playing ball with sanctioning bodies is concerned, is pretty much helping Sulimain invent this catch weight belt and then paying a sanctioning fee for it.

Now the hardcore Pacquiao fans and Floyd detratctors are gonna get on here and discredit Floyd for not paying sanctioning fees and just say well, he would've paid for them if he didn't have the money controversy with the IRS. But if every fighter did what Floyd did last night, these sanctioning bodies would go out of business.

One of the things that I do view as inconsistency from Mayweather though is the fact that he paid to fight for Zab Judah's belt after Zab lost to Baldomir. So me myself, I do wonder how sincere he is about not letting the sanctioning bodies get away with there scandalous ways. But he gets props from me for at least boycotting them last night despite what happened in the past.

Floyd Mayweather is a joke who rips off the fans every time out.

He's got no integrity. He cheated a career FW on the scales.

Its right not to pay sanctioning fees and do away with all the belts, but if anyone thinks this guys doing it for "the sport" they're crazy.

He said himself that he only cares about whats good for him.

OH yeah you're gonna get Red K'ed by the Pac Stans for talking the truth about their hero. Just look what they did to me LOL. I think Floyd only really recognizes the WBC Belt as the official belt. But yeah most of these organizations are corrupt so I'm glad Floyd didnt pay them. Plus it's great that he brought in the Olympic testing because like he said now we can seperate the ordinary fighters from the extrodinary fighters

Pacquiao epitomizes a fighter who leaves it all in the ring, no question about it. But he too fights for a check 100%. If he didn't, then why is he involved in politics?

That's a terrible example. He earns more in boxing than he ever would in politics.

I know that. But he needs the money from boxing in able to have any hope in politics. That's what I mean.

But I think Pac more paid for the belt so that he then he would be the only fighter with 7 titles in 7 divisions and what not, like now I don't think it would matter that much to him. But credit to Floyd for not paying the sanctioning fee, more boxers should do this, and then they wouldn't have to fight any undeserving mandatory's and could target the biggest fights against other champions.

c'mon man, floyd just didn't want to give up 3% of his purse. he already dumped a 20k on OST. floyd did what he did out of self-interest.

And this is why I don't understand why people **** on Paul Williams for not having any title defenses. It's about the fighters you beat. The Cotto fans will be the first ones to tell you that since their guy fights for vacant title belts.
