Cause you werent a real boxing fan. The man had already been diagnosed with an enlarged heart and was told to quit boxing but instead he he decided to go to war every time he was called upon to, just like a true WARRIOR would.

corrales "cried like a girl" because his corner stopped the fight so he went crazy...he wanted to keep fighting even after being knocked down 5 times = warrior.

              beat his wife = irrelevant.

spit out his mouthpiece like that to be able to keep fighting, and after being knocked down twice, came back and KOed the guy in the same round = warrior.

it wouldve been different if he kept spitting out the mouthpiece and then quit, but he spit out the mouthpiece because he wanted to keep fighting, and you know what happened.

The best warriors in the sport were the guys from the bare knuckled days up until the 20+ round limit was reduced. These were people that would continue to fight with their eyes hanging out of their socket, with a broken arm, and in an outide ring where it was 110+ degrees. And this was for 20, 30, even 40 or more rounds.

I'll have to find a description of one of John L. Sullivan's fights on a barge and post it here. Brutal hardcore stuff.

They tried to break each others necks in the clinches in those days...
