I think Hearns comes out strong and maybe lands the right hand with a graze, not square on the chin because of Floyds defense. I also think because of Tommy's reputation Floyd would use the same defensive style he used on Mosley after round 2 and that's keep both hands up and bring the fight to Tommy blocking his shots and slowly breaking Hearns down round by round. Floyd surprisingly would be the stronger fighter being he is 5-7 146, 147 to Hearns 6-1 144 pounds. Hearns would be strong early but the Hearns that fought SRL was weight drained and had some conditioning issues.

Once Floyd figures out that right hand it would be 10 straight rounds of coming forward, blocking and breaking Tommy down to a unanimous decision.
what an utterly disgusting thread. because floyd unanimous decisioned a 39 year old fighter who hasnt fought in 1 year & 5 months, he's gonna beat a undefeated tommy hearns?

are you serious? how did you come to this conclusion? when floyd almost got ktfo by that same 39 year old fighter who hasnt fought in over a year?

You ought to be castrated for this.

      LOL

Floyd would'nt even think about fighting Hearns.
      Hearns would KHTFO.

Hearns would beat Floyd with his left jab alone.

You make it seem like Hearns never lost or had weaknesses. Lets be realistic, Floyd aint getting knocked out early. It just aint happening, his defense is to good. Over the long haul of the fight favors Floyd because Hearns always tires, starts looking sloppy stumbling over his own feet.

Even when Hearns was outboxing Ray it looked so sloppy. Ray could have finished him round 7 but wasn't aggressive enough.

No one ever beat Hearns in a boxing match. You had to brawl with Tommy to take him down.

Mayweather-Leonard prime for prime at 147 would be a classic fight...

If you think either guy is gonna get dominated I think your crazy...

Both guys would need rounds to feel each other out...Leonard had trouble hitting Benitez is who was a great defensive fighter...Floyd's never fought someone like Leonard with beautiful combos who can do everything...

Floyd COULD beat Hearns but I don't see him dominating him...

                Hearns by KO.

Along with his amazing knockout power, he's got great speed and has the height and reach advantage.

I used to think he would've gotten a decision, but after Mayweather got hurt and nearly knocked down by a past-prime Mosley, I've changed my opinion.

Dude you cannot use srl performance as a berometer for floyd fighting hearns, the hitman has so many physical advantages over floyd its not even funny, floyd just would have serious problems getting past that jab, in fact he wouldn't. SRL was a tall big welterweight and had more power than floyd and it was his power and conditioning that won him that fight, and don't forget it was 15 rounds. I think hearns would bag too many rounds off his jab and win a decision over 12, floyd would have a better chance over 15, and thats if he doesn't get taken out by a big right before as some have mentioned.

because 39 year old mosley off the ring for 1 year & 5 months equals a prime ray leonard & tommy hearns.

Hearns physical attributes are all wrong for Floyd. I wouldn't count him out against anyone though, if he figured out the timing and distance he could beat Hearns.
