Shane was being Shane up until the third round

watching the fight again and his flick jab with right hand bomb was clearly working against floyd...He needed to mix it up to the body to keep floyd honest.

IMO shane could have definitely won.

Not to take anything away from floyd.

Shane was just too old. I might get hate for this post but to beat Mayweather you got to just bomb away, take some shots and bomb away. You've got to go to war. When he was younger, even 3-4 years ago against Cotto for example, he had that mentality still and would send those chopping right hands in behind the ear.

As soon as Mosely got hit with some shots he thought '**** this' and just didn't do anything for 10 rounds. I mean he finally did something in the 12th round but by then it was far too late.

A prime Mosley would've battered Mayweather, he just didn't have the endurance at 38.

He could if he had the stamnia to last more than 3 rounds. Mayweather was definitely a BIG part in Shane looking 40. that being said the Stamnia problem and SHane looking exhausted by 3-4 round was not Floyd, it was age.

            Too old? Endurance?

He was dominated from round 3 on. How is that an endurance issue? It's a "the other guy is much better" issue.

I dont think so I think if age wise the shoes were on the other feet. Shane would win.

Floyd has the intagables and highly evolved skills to beat anyone.. Shane can beat damn near anyone with sheer grit .which really makes these two comparable overall.

I felt bad for Naazim, he clearly knew what he wanted Shane to do but Shane just couldn't do it. It's hard not to say without sounding like you are discrediting Floyd or making excuses, but Shane was horrible. It reminded me of Pacquiao-Clottey, where Clottey just stood there doing nothing. Shane was much the same way.
