Alvarez impressed me with his speed, power, chin and the ability to act like a fighter. He will be a start everywhere and not just in Mexico where he already is. But most or a lot of light skinned Mexicans also have Native blood, they're not purely of European decent, so I don't believe it's right to consider them plain "white", just because they're light skinned and not brown, they're of Mix race.

Lulz, I don't mean Alvarez, he's most likely purely of European decent, or almost purely, but only about 9% of Mexico's population is truly "white", 60-70% are mixed with Native & European, you made it sound like any light skinned Mexican is "white", as in completely of European decent, which isn't the case, most of them are mixed..

Yea for sure alot of them are mixed but their skin is still white, some "Mexicans" skins are lighter than some "whites". But is there really any way to know for sure who is mixed and who is not? Europeans are dark haired, dark eyed too and some can pass for Mexicans. Look at Penelope Cruz and Antonio Banderas. Michael Corleone from The God Father in the 70's could easily pass for a Mexican in a 70's Televisa film.
