Have you forgotten that Pacquiao is a southpaw where Floyd has always had trouble with these types of fighters. I mean honestly Pacquiao can knock you out with either a right or a left, you cant frame Pacquiao's shots where as Mosley you know everytime what hes about to do next. Looking at both fighters last fight then i go with Mayweather by stoppage.

I now believe that Pac can only win by early knockout and his chances are slim.

Before I thought it possible for him to win on high output but Mayweather last night did something he hasnt done in a long time, put together combinations.


There are two very important areas that I believe are key for PBF beating Pac. I think that Pac will get frustrated and tired before PBF ever does. PBF is very strong mentally and never allows himself to get discouraged. Even when he was behind rounds early in the Zab fight or after round 2 of Mosley he never gets off his gameplan. Pac has been discouraged, by the cut in morales 1, by cotto's running late fight and by clottey's unwillingness to trade.

I fully expect Pac to get frustrated by the mid rounds and mayweather will dominate the late rounds. Ive never seen Mayweather tired, frustrated or busted up at the end of a fight but I have seen all of those from Pac before.

I agree, Pacman is a machine gunner, he needs a lot of ammo to take down his fighters and though his activity level is high he gets very sloppy and is open to lots of counters ala JMM. Imagine what would happen with a bigger stronger faster opponent who has more ring smarts and experience. While I do think that Pacman is a more complete fighter then when he originally fought JMM I still think that he is easy to out think. He hasn't had to think against any fighter since JMM or Morales. Everyone came to him, PBF is a different kind of monster.

That said I do like Pacman a lot. I would love to see a win by pacman and a immediate rematch going the other way, a fight for the ages.

And it will take a tank to put Manny down! JMM fights were ages ago. It's a different Manny now. He realized why dodge punches when he can take em. Floyd's punches didn't stop JMM and Mosley how can it stop Pac? He'll take the punches and give back more.. much much more!!!

You're acting like Pac was helpless against those two. He lost a very competitive fight to Morales, and beat Marquez. He is also a much different fighter then he was then, especially in the first Morales and Marquez fights. He isn't nearly as sloppy and left hand dependent.

IMO Manny's only chance of winning is by an early round KO. By the 3rd or 4th round Floyd would have worked Manny out and would be making him pay for his technical mistakes.I think Floyd will want to carry him to expose the vast difference in boxing skills and make him look silly. This fight will be all about Floyd sealing his legacy (if it is real). There is a chance because the money is so big the two could come to an arrangement to let the fight play out as some kind of draw to set up a rematch. When they can make $40+ million each anything is possible. Floyd is cautious and will only go for the KO when it is there for the taking and Manny is in super condition. I can see Manny's face being badly beaten up in the later rounds and being helpless and not knowing what to do against Floyd. A late stoppage is a real possibility.
