I think they should just take it slow with Canelo, let him fight various styles work out the kinks letting him naturally develope. I would would be stting him up to really make a run when he is 21 or so if there are no set backs.

He has potential but he needs to be handled carefully so he is not ruined at an early age.

        I'm right here!

but you do know that if that was Miguel who fought him tonight, Canelo wouldn't have gotten past that first round right?

Yes it is, But getting hurt by a lightweight is bad news...

I'm glad he got hurt though, Makes him tighten up his defense and he learned a lot of things tonight.

lol, you are a harsh critic, lol. canelo is only 19, thats what u shld remember. the kid is 19 but he fights with the sense of a fighter in his prime. i was impressed wit the weird lookin mexican. he has everything it takes to make it to the top, but i think he may need a world class coach to make it to the next level.

Saul Alvarez is very good and got a big heart but he's only 19 years old and already had 32 pro fights. They need to be careful and let him improve some more before they put him in against the top players, or else this kid could be washed up when he's 22 years old.
