  • The Words of Glen Johnson

    On Tarver
Glen cames he is going to pressure Tarver, come at him the entire fight and take the fight to him. Simliar to the first fight, he claims his stamina is a lot better and his work ethic doesnt compare to Tarvers. But he also believes that Tarver is in great shape to. He was also asked that on HBO.com their fight is advertised by a picture of Tarver, does that piss him off? Glen just said hes been through that his entire career and he will just put in his work June 18th. He says Tarvers a good fighter but talks way more than hes suppose to.

"What do you feel on Tarvers power?"
    "He has no power"-Glen Johnson

    "Roy felt his power"
"Yeah Roy felt 2 peoples power"-Glen Johnson

    On Roy Jones
Says he would love to fight Jones again but says even if he trains hard for their next fight, he would still beat him.
He says that he wasnt suprised that his right hand knocked out Jones because he drops guys in sparring with headgear with the same shot.

    On Benard Hopkins
"Out of all of the fights after this fight, The most important fight to me is Hopkins." He claims he is the only guy who really beat him. He also said he would stop Hopkins because its at light heavyweight and he is at his peak.

Yeah I agree, I know Tarver has a history of doing much better in rematches but I think Johnson will outwork Tarver once again.

He's not saying he's the best, he's just a mon who's willing to fight the best.

I think it's going to be like the first fight was but this time I think Tarver will get the decision. I thought Tarver outboxed him 7 to 5 the first time and he landed the harder shots throughout the fight.
